Driving through the gate I was already impressed but I was totally blown away on entering the building. Keep your eyes open so you won't miss a thing and take your time (the view is spectacular). Very relaxing and peaceful and the hospitality outstanding! Breakfast was delicious and we truly enjoyed the conversation with our hosts and other guests. This Bed and Breakfast has become a special place for us and are looking forward to our next visit. Thank you Jerry and Maggie!
We stayed here at the end of August, 2016. This place was spectacularly maintained! The owners are very friendly, and most welcoming. Breakfasts were absolutely first class, never repeating any item over the three days that we stayed. Individual diet needs were accommodated without any hesitations. The breathtaking views only added to our stay at The Sandy Salmon Bed & Breakfast.
The view of the river is stunning. I love white noise when I sleep, so I'd leave the windows open so I could hear it. On our first night we hung out by the river for a while. The bugs got pretty bad so we retreated up the hill to the patio where we had some cheese and wine for dinner while overlooking the river. It was beautiful! They have a pool table too so we played pool a few times.
This place was amazing! Jerry and Maggie were amazing hosts! The place is extremely unique and welcoming. The log cabin is absolutely stunning with extraordinary design. The rooms are very clean and comfy and the breakfast is finger licking good!!! We had a wonderful time and recommend this place for anyone who just needs to relax and take a breath of fresh air!
I would have rated this 5+ stars but my wife didn't like the bed. She has a hard time getting comfortable in any bed. To me, everything about this place is amazing. The property, the home, the owners...everything. This was our first stay at a B&B and after this experience, I would do it again in a heartbeat. Other B&B's will have to meet some pretty high expectations now. The property is right on the riverfront and the home is a magnificent log cabin style home. Jerry and Maggie are wonderful and super friendly. I absolutely recommend the Sandy Salmon B&B. I will stay here every time I come to Portland.
My boyfriend and I stayed here for two nights. The home is absolutely incredible. It has an epic log cabin feel and is immaculately maintained. Breakfasts were generously portioned. Owners and very easygoing and kind.
